It is with deep sadness we announce that our dear friend Eric Harvey Richardson has passed away at the age of 84. Harvey had been quietly and bravely struggling with cancer for the last while and finally succumbed, ending the fight without pain in his sleep. Harvey was predesecased by his lovely wife Thelma and is survived by his sister Eileen Hempson and brother Alan Richardson. All of those who were privileged to know Harvey are conscious of a void that will be impossible to fill. Harvey was a man with a thousand stories mined from a life both prosaic and exotic. A brilliant scientist, world traveller, eccentric house builder, collector of many whiskies and above all a generous and warm hearted man. Harvey will be sorely missed by those that knew him and those that might have known him in the future. A Celebration of Life for Harvey will be held on December 21, 2011 location TBC. In lieu of flowers a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria would be appreciated.
