Thank you for learning more about the ways that you can help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria. Contributions to BBBS Victoria take many forms, but most often they include:

·    Time – Individuals volunteer an hour per week for up to a year to an In-School Mentoring Program, or up to three hours per week for a minimum of one year to our Community Mentorship, Big Bunch, or Aboriginal Mentorship Programs. Organizations and businesses can support Big Brothers Big Sisters by offering flexible schedules to employees who participate in mentorship programs and volunteer activities during day-time hours.

·    Creative and Strategic Thinking - Other volunteer options include opportunities to participate on board committees or to help with community awareness and fundraising events and contribute creative ideas and strategies to enhance our agency.

·    Gifts and Services – Individuals and organizations contribute supplies and/or services to support activities and programs. Donors provide items to our annual events and auctions, snacks and refreshments for mentorship activities, support our volunteer appreciation programs, and help host our annual Summer Picnic and Christmas events for Bigs and Littles.

·    Used Clothing – Your gently loved used clothing is recycled through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria Donation Centre. The clothing finds a new home and helps to raise funds to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. All of the funds raised through this social enterprise are invested in support for mentoring programs.

·    Financial Resources– Individuals and organizations support BBBS Victoria through cash or stock donations, memoriam or legacy gifts, or a pledge to donate on a monthly or annual basis. Tax receipts are are issued for all eligible gifts.

     Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria collects donations through CanadaHelps.org a central portal for charitable giving. This service reduces administrative costs for our agency and provides users with 24-hour per day access to all of their charitable-giving options, records and tax receipts.
