Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria collects donations through CanadaHelps.org a central portal for charitable giving. This service reduces administrative costs for our agency and provides users with safe and convenient 24-hour per day access to charitable-giving options, records, and tax receipts. Simply click on the Canada Helps logo to donate.

Our current budget and operational capacity allows BBBS Victoria to serve around 525 children and youth per year and we are grateful to each and every donor and sponsor for helping BBBS Victoria meet this goal. Sadly, more children are waiting for our services – we currently have over 75 children waiting for a mentor and estimates suggest that there are 1000 at-risk children in our community in need of a mentor today.

What does this mean? It means that BBBS Victoria needs to attract and sustain nearly double our current number of mentors and increase our operational budget in order to meet the demand from our community for mentoring services.

We work to be as effective and efficient as we can, to minimize costs while maintaining excellent safety and service standards, and to leverage our resources to their maximum potential. In a time when costs are rising and grants and government funding have stabilized or declined we know we need to reach out to our community and ask for help.

How can you help? Please…

Donate to support mentorship programs – You decide the donation amount and the frequency of the gift. You can also designate your funds to a specific mentoring program or activity. Payments can be made through cash, cheque, or credit card. Tax receipts are issued for all eligible gifts

Become a monthly donor – With automatic payment options and a tax receipt for all eligible gifts, helping is easy and rewarding. Your donations will be used to sustain current programs and invested in new services for children and youth

Consider a Memoriam or Legacy Gift - In honor of a loved one, mentor, or friend, your gift makes a Big difference.
